Lea Torres is a midwife-gynecologist. She has delivered many women`s babies, but she has made a firm decision for herself - never to give birth.
The doctor`s words are shocking, but they deserve respect.
Lea believes that pregnancy is a terrible experience. Some of her patients have told her that. Torres is truly amazed by the fact that many women are willing to endure nausea and pain.

Once, the midwife-gynecologist asked her grateful patient to write down the real truth about the interesting condition. Here`s what she said:
`If it weren`t for my strong desire for children, I would never dare to do it. I don`t blame anyone who decides not to have children, because being pregnant is terrible...
Nausea is always with me. This is my third pregnancy, I`m now 37 weeks, and I still feel sick. And tears. You cry every day for no reason. When you get tired of crying, you get angry at yourself and start arguing with your husband. Just like that. To have another reason to cry.
There are times when there`s nothing to breathe. It becomes hard to move around the house. Everything hurts and you just want to stop existing, because it`s all not that simple.
I`ll put it this way: childbirth is the best moment, thanks to which all this pain ends. And I`m not exaggerating. You feel great not because love for the child spreads, but because you are finally separated from each other. The child has taken a part of your life, but now you feel much better.
I love my children more than anything in the world. And that`s exactly why I`m going through all this hell for the third time. Children have made my life complete, but now I will never pretend that pregnancy has been the most magical and beautiful period of my life. It`s not.
It sounds quite unappealing, especially if you remember what threats pregnancy and childbirth can pose to the health of the expectant mother.
A woman`s body completely changes over 9 months. Pregnant women often complain of cramps, they have an increased risk of developing diabetes, hypertension, and heart failure.
Studies show that the risk of dying in childbirth is greater than flying in an airplane, or hang gliding, and even during general anesthesia. Moreover, the risk of death in childbirth is 10 times greater than during an abortion.
In modern society, pregnancy and childbirth are considered a kind of woman`s duty. It seems that everyone knows about the possible risks, but they go for it anyway. Many blame infertility, as a result of which women start to feel incomplete without children.
We simply need to accept that if a woman doesn`t want to give birth, that`s normal. It`s just as normal as not wanting to feel constant nausea, fatigue, and irritability.
Lea Torres understands that without these inconveniences, it`s impossible to have offspring, but she doesn`t want to participate in it personally.
As for me, every woman has the right to choose. And what do you think?
