The names of high fashion creators are known to everyone. Some of us proudly wear branded clothes and rush to Duty Free looking for a yellow bottle with a beautiful designer`s surname. But only a few can recognize the legendary designers by face, as not every designer appears in society chronicles every day.
We have compiled photographs of people whose surnames adorn the labels of expensive brands. We were most surprised by Trussardi - a Hollywood handsome man.

Dolce & Gabbana — Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana
In 1985, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana founded the Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana. The future partners met in the early 1980s when Domenico was hired at Stefano`s sewing atelier.
The aspiring fashion designers` first collection did not bring the expected commercial success, and they planned to close the business. But then the Dolce family was able to provide them with the necessary sum for business development.
Dolce and Gabbana closely collaborate with show business stars and regularly conduct unique advertising campaigns.
Fendi — Silvia Venturini Fendi
Silvia is the granddaughter of the Fendi brand founder. It was she who in 1997 invented the cult product – the Baguette bag, which was meant to be carried under the arm like a French baguette.
Now Silvia Venturini Fendi is the creative director of the company, working with men`s clothing and accessories.
Armani — Giorgio Armani
Fashion designer Giorgio Armani is one of the richest people in Italy. He was born in the Italian city of Piacenza, and he has Armenian ancestry.
Armani began his career as a model assistant at Nino Cerruti, but in 1974 he first introduced the public to a collection named after himself.
News about the fashion designer`s life is rarely found in the press: according to his sister Rosanna, he leads a secluded lifestyle and has practically no close friends.
Tom Ford — Tom Ford
Tom Ford is an innovator in the fashion world. His fresh perspective on things has been recognized by the general public and colleagues more than once. For example, in 1996, the Council of Fashion Designers of America named Ford Designer of the Year.
In short, Tom Ford is not only a fashion designer but also a film director. And while he started his career in fashion in the 1980s, he became a director only in 2008.
Ford explained that he was worried that after him there would only be a pile of dresses in a museum, but he himself would not have time for a real life.
Patrizia Pepe — Patrizia Bambi
In 1993, Patrizia together with her husband decided to establish a fashion clothing brand. The young entrepreneurs wanted to combine elegance with everyday simplicity.
For 26 years, the charming Patrizia Bambi has been creating various clothing collections that are successful among women not only in Italy but also worldwide.
Bulgari — Nicola Bulgari
Nicola and his brother Paolo Bulgari are the grandchildren of Sotirios Bulgari, the founder of the Bulgari brand. The Bulgari family, currently represented by the brothers, owns 52% of the fashion house`s shares. Another 48% of the shares are in free circulation.
Nicola Bulgari lives in Rome, raises 6 children, and passionately collects vintage cars.
Carolina Herrera — Carolina Herrera
American designer Carolina Herrera was born in Venezuela, Caracas. In 1970, she was recognized as one of the world`s most stylish women.
Herrera founded her company in 1980. She designed clothes for Jacqueline Kennedy for the last 12 years. In 1987, the first Carolina Herrera brand fragrance was released, with astonishing success.
Gerry Weber — Gerhard Weber
The Gerry Weber brand originated from a small company Hatex KG, which dealt with women`s clothing production. Its founders were Gerhard Weber and Udo Hardick.
The young and enterprising Weber was born into a working-class family and received education in textile trade. The company Hatex KG started operations in 1973, but when sales volumes reached 72.7 million German marks after 13 years, the company was given the name Gerry Weber.
In 2001, Gerhard`s sons joined the company`s work.
Versace — Donatella Versace
The Versace fashion house was founded in 1978 by Gianni Versace. After his tragic death, his sister Donatella became the main figure and chief designer.
Donatella`s collection differs from what her brother did, but that doesn`t bother the energetic Italian. ”They responded poorly to my collections, but I always knew I couldn`t continue what Gianni did. To stay at his peak, you have to look for something new,” she is convinced. Donatella`s clothing differs with greater femininity, comfort, and less sexual aggression.
Narciso Rodriguez — Narciso Rodriguez
Narciso Rodriguez was born in the USA, but both his parents are Cuban. They were against their son developing a career in fashion. However, Narciso enrolled in a design school in New York, then started collaborating with Calvin Klein, and in 1997 founded his own clothing brand.
Vera Wang — Vera Wang
American wedding dress designer professionally engaged in figure skating. Successful women get married in her dresses. In addition, Vera makes dresses for exhibitions and competitions, as well as for figure skaters.
The model was born in New York but has Chinese ancestry. Her career in wedding fashion began with her own marriage, when Wang decided to create a dress for herself.
Valentino — Valentino Garavani
Since Valentino learned to hold a pencil, he started drawing. Realizing his passion, the boy decided to become a clothing designer and soon enrolled in the Art Academy in Milan.
Valentino`s clothes are considered a symbol of femininity and luxurious life. Elizabeth Taylor, Jacqueline Kennedy, Courteney Cox, and Jennifer Lopez got married in his outfits.
In 2007, the designer left the fashion world, presenting his last women`s fashion collection.
Trussardi — Tomaso Trussardi
Currently, the family business Trussardi is headed by Tomaso Trussardi.
The young entrepreneur is married to Swiss-born actress Michelle Hunziker, the couple has 2 children.
