Some say that the bond between twins is stronger than between other siblings. Some might describe their relationship as magical.

The existence of a twin sister or brother is the best thing that can happen to someone. After all, they do everything together. They go to the same school, attend the same class, do the same activities, and they have the same circle of friends. And let`s not forget that they have the opportunity to prank others.

We all have thought about it at least once, what it would be like if we had a twin, what mischief you would do together and how you would try to fool the world so that no one could tell which twin you are.

But the same couldn`t be said for the parents who would have to deal with all of that.

Peggy and Jeff learned that they are expecting identical twins.
The new parents, Peggy and Jeff Kehoe, were overjoyed when they learned they were expecting twins. The day they were born was the happiest in their lives.
The twins were named Hailey and Jenna.
They both had blue eyes, blonde hair, and a smile that could melt your heart. The sisters were inseparable from the first day and couldn`t stand to be apart from each other even for one day.
The Kehoes` life was great until the girls turned 12.
No one expected that their life would soon change forever. On February 9, 2013, the couple found their daughter Hailey lying motionless on the bathroom floor.
It was the mother, Peggy, who first found Hailey lying unconscious, sobbing, trying to say something, and she couldn`t open her eyes.

The parents were terrified seeing their daughter in that state. When they realized they needed to act immediately, Jeff quickly called 911 and the 12-year-old girl was rushed to the nearest hospital. At the hospital, doctors discovered that the girl had bleeding in her brain and needed medical intervention. After obtaining permission from the parents to perform surgery on the girl`s brain and stop the bleeding, the doctors gave them full assurance that they would do everything they could to save the girl`s life.
Her sister, Jenna, was in complete shock and terrified at the slightest possibility that she might lose her sister forever.

Jenna stayed by her sister`s side the whole time. Her mother said: `She held her hand and said she had to survive... because she can`t live without her twin.`
Hailey was born with a condition known as AVM

Doctors discovered that Hailey was born with arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in the brain. AVM is a condition that forms tangles of blood vessels and connecting arteries in the brain. It was suspected that she might not wake up after the surgery.
Hailey was miraculously given another chance at life.

Thanks to the well-trained staff at the Children`s Hospital (Penn State Hershey Children`s Hospital), things gradually returned to normal. A couple of days after the surgery, Hailey opened her eyes.
