Face Reading

This ancient art has another name - physiognomy. The science of the face originated in ancient China. There, physiognomy treatises were compiled, which traveled around the world, changing and improving, so now Western and Eastern physiognomy differ quite strongly from each other.

In physiognomy, each part of the face is considered separately, and its shape, color, and contour have their own meaning. First, it`s important to talk about facial anatomy. The face is conditionally divided into three parts: upper, middle, and lower. The upper part of the face (forehead) tells about a person`s childhood and relationships with parents, from it you can read the past. The middle (from eyebrows to the tip of the nose) tells about the present. But the lower part of the face tells about a person`s future.

Face Shape

The face shape plays an important role. There are three, but very often a face cannot be attributed to just one type. In that case, character traits can be mixed.

1. Oval Face

People with an oval face are intellectuals and dreamers. They always have ideas and goals, but they often change. Sometimes they can be shy and reserved, they are more interested in the inner world. They are emotional and sensitive, with a tendency to depression. Such people realize themselves well in creative professions.

2. Round Face

Very practical and goal-oriented people. They are not afraid of changes, they quickly adapt to any circumstances. They have a tendency to philosophize, love spending time with other people, they need listeners. They are fun, sociable, but can also be aggressive and mean if there is a reason.

3. Square Face

People with strong character and very powerful. They always achieve their set goals in any way. They do not control themselves if something goes not as they planned.

Forehead

1. High and wide forehead - a sign of intellect.
2. Low and wide forehead indicates that the person is patient and very persistent.
3. High and narrow forehead - a sign of quick mind with huge potential.
4. Low and narrow forehead indicates that in front of you is a mean and cunning person.
5. If the forehead is covered with spots or birthmarks, it points to a difficult childhood and complicated relationships with parents.

Eyes

By looking into a person`s eyes, you can learn a lot about them. Size, shape, color - everything matters. It is believed that a person with beautiful and attractive eyes is endowed with health, will, and an agile mind. There is also a theory that eye color can determine a person`s health condition.

Large eyes indicate that the person is sensitive and creative, but small ones point to inner strength and practical mind. Eyes placed close to each other indicate developed intuition and also the owner`s jealousy. If the distance between the eyes is relatively large, it`s a sign of excellent communication skills.

Nose

According to the concept of physiognomy, the nose is an indicator of a person`s spiritual life characteristics. The nose also indicates intellectual abilities.

1. Short nose indicates mental agility and breadth of views. However, sometimes it can mean that it will be difficult to get along with this person.
2. Long nose points to owners of practical mind, who have a developed sense of responsibility for others.
3. Flat nose indicates loyalty, patience, and endurance. They are passionate careerists.
4. Crooked nose shows creative people, but along with that, it can indicate an unstable mind that wanders in search of goals.
5. Pointed nose speaks of strong intuition.

Mouth

1. Large mouth - a sign of success and unprecedented generosity. These people love life and get the maximum from it.
2. Small mouth indicates sensitivity and independence. These people are closed, but very hardworking.
3. If the upper lip is thicker than the lower, then the person has a big, loving heart and huge love for life. Moreover, such people have a tendency to independence and a large number of separations.
4. If the upper lip is thinner, then the person strives to please everyone and always worries about everything.
5. Straight lips indicate practicality. Curved upward - about insecurity in oneself, but downward - about a loving and sensitive person.

Cheeks

1. High cheekbones indicate a closed person.

Chin

Physiognomy is a very extensive science, and these are just its basics. But even they will help you better understand people and notice what you couldn`t see before.
