Pregnancy should be one of the most miraculous journeys you ever take. You create a new life. You feel love for someone you haven`t even met yet.

Austin and I were very much looking forward to our first baby. We imagined bringing him home and being an infinitely happy family.

When I fell asleep that terrible night, I couldn`t even imagine waking up as a completely different person. My mother-in-law woke me up and said that an accident had happened to Austin.

All I knew was that my husband was in the hospital. But I had no idea why. When I arrived there, they told me that my beloved had a brain hemorrhage. The doctors concluded that it happened due to excessive consumption of energy drinks.

After a 5-hour operation, I didn`t recognize him. He will be left with a huge hole in his forehead for life. His parents were in shock... The next day, we prayed for him again, hoping that he would at least survive. Two weeks passed, but there were still no hopeful news. Then I thought that I would never give up on him, no matter what he was like.

The time came to give birth. It was very hard; Austin was supposed to be at the birth and hold my hand. But he still wasn`t by my side.

A miracle happened when our baby was born. Austin woke up. I thought about him every day. I looked at our child, who looks like his father, and cried.

When my son was only a week old, I left him with relatives and went to my husband. I wanted to tell him that our boy is already with us.

Weeks passed. We traveled across the country because Austin had to undergo countless operations and a huge number of procedures. When our boy was 2 months old, he finally saw his father. My beloved returned home. The visits to doctors and trips to the hospital are impossible to count, but we are together. The fight continues.

Every day I get up to take care of my men. I cook food, do physical therapy and speech therapy with my husband. I help him walk. In between, I take care of our little miracle. It`s hard for me, I`m exhausted, but I do everything possible.

He is no longer the person I fell in love with. But I dedicate every day to him, I believe that one day our life will change. I will never give up on him. Love is selfless and I love him more than my own life.”
