Fulvia Pellegrino from Italy underwent countless plastic surgeries to look like a model. But did she succeed?

Fulvia was born into a typical Catholic family and lived her entire childhood under strict religious prohibitions from her father. Upon reaching adolescence, she suddenly realized how different she was from her peers: Fulvia was born as a man named Fulvio. But since childhood, he had always dreamed of being a woman.

Fearing to disgrace her religious family, he tried to do everything to become a real man: went hunting, bought expensive cars, learned to earn money.

At the age of 24, Fulvio met Marisa. His parents insisted that they get married – Fulvio continued to pretend to be what he really wasn`t. Hiding from his wife, the man regularly visited gay clubs, dressed in women`s clothes, put on makeup when he was alone. He hid his double life from all family members.

After 16 years of marriage, Fulvio could no longer hide his true nature from his wife. The man decided to come out to Marisa.

He told his wife that he planned to undergo gender reassignment surgery. Marisa was shocked. She couldn`t even imagine something like that. She was able to forgive her husband only after frequent visits to a psychologist.

To fulfill his dream, he sold his guns, cars, and even his house. Brothers, relatives, parents – everyone turned away from him. Except for Marisa, who once vowed at the altar to support him in joy and sorrow.

Fulvio`s father tried several times to send his son to a psychiatric hospital.

After four breast augmentation surgeries, 2 liposuctions, a nose job, and various other changes, he was unrecognizable. At 56, he finally became what he had dreamed of. However, the man had expected a different result...


Fulvia wanted to look like Allanah Starr, who also once underwent surgery and became a woman.

The Italian woman doesn`t plan to stop: `I need to have more surgeries, I`m ready for it. I`ll stop only when I`m perfect`.

Because of her obsession, Fulvia has fallen into huge debts. She spent more than $75,000 just on surgeries - with that money, the family could buy a small house. Walking through the streets of her hometown, the `woman` hears people whispering behind her back, cursing and humiliating her. She wasn`t allowed at her father`s funeral.

Marisa remains loyal to her husband no matter what. `Now Marisa and I are like sisters. She, of course, is not homosexual and no longer sleeps with me. My genital organ is still with me, but due to the female hormones I`m taking now, it no longer functions.` – says Fulvia.

Marisa takes care of her `sister` and provides for everything, because in pursuit of beauty, she has lost everything.
