The disease affects the intestines, causing unbearable pain. Even worse, at the age of 22, it progressed and surgery was necessary, as a result of which part of the intestine was removed in the abdominal area and a special colostomy was installed.

”It felt like I was simply burning from the inside” - Crystal recalls the torments she had to endure. However, it turned out that physical discomfort is not the worst thing that such patients have to experience.

This disease turned the girls life into a nightmare. Even a simple gathering in a cafe with friends became torture for her, because she was very worried that the tubes hanging from her stomach made her repulsive.

However, soon Crystal regained her self-confidence. A man appeared in her life who saw her personality, not a victim of the disease. They happily married and now raise two wonderful children.

”Miraculously, when love appeared in my life, the disease seemed to recede. I feel like a completely different person!” – Crystal does not hide her emotions.
