Whitney Leigh Morris and her husband Adam Finkelman live in Los Angeles. Like most young couples, they are concerned about housing. They would like to live in a comfortable family home, but their financial situation does not allow their dreams to come true.

Once Whitney and Adam stumbled upon an ad for the sale of a small plot of land near the waterfront. The previous owners decided to sell the property in parts. Half of the plot with the residential house had already been sold, but the land with the garage was still looking for buyers.

Although the price of the land was quite attractive, no one was in a hurry to buy it, fearing complications in building a residential house. Because if another house were built next to the garage, there would be no space left for a garden or lawn at all...

Then Whitney had a great idea. She decided to turn the garage itself into a home!
Thanks to the fact that Mrs. Morris`s profession is a designer, she decided to design their next living space herself. Although the garage was built in the 1920s, it was strong and stable, and its area allowed it to include everything necessary for the comfortable living of two people.
As a result, they managed to create a comfortable home project that has everything necessary: a bedroom, a living room combined with a kitchen, a small office, and a bathroom.
They decided to design the interior in light tones, as it visually expands the space. As a result, the house turned out truly airy.
In the courtyard, there is even a small terrace overgrown with climbing ivy and wild grapes!

”When Adam and I bought this plot of land, our relatives looked at us like we were crazy. They couldn`t believe we decided to live in a garage, but now they have completely changed their opinion!” says Whitney.
The couple can`t stop rejoicing about their new home, where they happily live with two dogs. ”In the next couple of years, we don`t plan to have children, so we have time to think about whether to expand this building or sell it and build something new,” reasons Adam.

Indeed, looking at this family`s home, one wants to use the well-known proverb: ”With a loved one, paradise is even in a garage.” It`s simply unimaginable how they managed to transform a utility building! If you liked this unusual house, be sure to tell your friends about it.
