Selfies have become strongly entrenched in mass culture and everyday life. The internet is simply overflowing with billions of identical photographs, and this trend shows no signs of diminishing. Not only ordinary people, but also athletes, musicians, politicians, everyone takes selfies.

Youth in particular, but not only them, compete to see who can take a more impressive photo. The best ones, of course, are selfies with celebrities and those taken in extreme conditions.

And the latter often lead to tragic circumstances, and sometimes you want to award their authors the Darwin Award. Sometimes the price of that `like` becomes the photographer`s own life. This happens often enough that society should finally start paying attention to it.
