Ma was given the opportunity to study by one of the schools, which learned about her dream from a newspaper interview. Thanks to this, the 102-year-old Chinese woman became a first-grade student for one day: in class, she used a hearing aid to hear better, and a magnifying glass for reading.

Ma Sjusiyan gave birth to nine children, most of whom have obtained higher education. The woman’s 58-year-old son, Fensin, said that in her childhood, his mother even sold the family’s valuables to send the children to school.

After spending the day at school, Ma thanked the teachers and classmates and promised to study. According to Fensin, going to school was his mother’s first dream.
