We offer you to solve a puzzle about dogs. It can be found in school textbooks. But honestly, not every adult can handle it. We hope you`re not one of them.
The brain, just like muscles, needs to be trained to keep it in mental tone. This puzzle is perfect for the warm-up phase.
The puzzle is mathematical. It develops logical and analytical thinking, as well as visual perception.

So. We have two dog breeds and bones. You`ll have the least trouble with the latter. Each bone represents one digit - a one.
You need to find the answer: the number that should be in place of the question mark in the fourth example. But first, you have to deal with the three previous ones, each separately.
Let`s start with the first one. Three Bulldogs add up to 15. They are completely identical. But that means each of them represents the same number. To find it, you need to divide fifteen by three.
In the second example, a Bulldog adds two dogs nicknamed Spotty. All these animals together make the number thirteen. As with the bulldog, each Dalmatian also represents the same number. To find it, you need to subtract the number corresponding to the first dog (which you already know) from thirteen. Then divide the result by two.
You already know the number that encrypts Spotty. But you can check yourself. If you add six to it, as there are exactly that many bones in the third example, and you get ten, then you know all your previous mathematical calculations were correct.
In the fourth example, replace each animal with its corresponding number and get the answer. Feel like an expert from `What? Where? When?` who successfully guessed the contents of the black box.
You might have solved this puzzle without help. The answers to this puzzle are: bulldog - 5, spotty - 4, and in place of the question mark, put 14.
