Unfortunately, we have often had to talk about children`s cruelty. It`s good that it`s not always intentional, but still, sometimes children can cause pain, especially when they unite against others who are not like everyone else: weaker or different from the majority...
Today we will tell a story that recently happened in Sweden. A 36-year-old woman named Annika was invited to a class reunion 20 years after graduation. She didn`t have the best memories of school and her relationships with classmates, so Annika decided to write a letter to her former classmates.

Dear 9C class!
I want to thank you for inviting me to our 20th graduation anniversary.
I can`t believe so much time has passed, and I`m very glad that you have pleasant memories of school time. But for me, that period of life remains the darkest and most unpleasant...
You probably remember that in the eighth school year, I transferred to another class... All because it was unbearable for me to listen to the mocking silence with which you greeted me when I walked down the hallway. I did it so I wouldn`t feel your stupid laughter behind my back and the cold stares that followed me...
Interestingly, all these insults are not forgotten. Even after 20 years, I hear your squeaky voices in my head telling me that I`m good for nothing, even though now I really know that`s not true!
I`m sure that, if not all, then most of you have grown into good people. You have your own children now, and I sincerely hope that they never have to wake up in the morning with the horrifying thought that they have to go to school... No one deserves that!
P.S. As for going to the reunion, I will decline. The 2000 $ that I would have to spend on travel and living in Stockholm, I donated to charity. The money went to an organization that fights bullying in schools and teenage psychological problems.
By the way, after this letter was published on Facebook, many classmates contacted Annika and apologized. With several, the woman even started maintaining friendly relationships.
We hope that this material will make many people think. After all, we need to respect each other!
