Levitating

Zigzag girl

This is a fairly simple trick. When the assistant enters the cabinet, she turns her body so that when the knives enter, they don`t touch her. When the middle part of the cabinet is pushed away, her hand moves with it, but the cabinet`s secret compartment creates the illusion that the middle body part is completely detached.

1. Cabinet construction elements that add space for bends for the person inside. As a rule, they are painted black to blend with the cabinet.

2. Knives are inserted only in the vertical space, leaving room for the assistant.

3. Black stripes - usable space. They are poorly visible when viewed from the side or on TV, so the box seems smaller.

4. The internal space/area is larger than it seems.

In the air

This trick is similar to levitation, but the trick artist does not stand in front of the metal supports. He passes a hoop through the assistant, but only as far as the support allows, creating the illusion that the body is hanging in the air.

Body sawing

The person in the box bends their legs to create the illusion that their body is cut in half. Fake legs are attached at the other end of the box.

Another classic trick variant, it consists in one assistant already being in the box until the trick starts. When the other assistant enters the box, the one in the box extends her legs, while the other hides hers, showing only the upper body part. When the box is divided, we see parts of two people.

Such a trick can often be seen on the street. The magician actually sits on a metal seat attached to a support connected to a platform hidden under the carpet.

Michael Jackson`s dance

The dance move where Michael Jackson and the dancers lean at 45 degrees, which could be seen during the performance of the song `Smooth Criminal`, is performed easier than you think. A recess in the shoes catches on a protrusion, so when you lean below the center of gravity, you can return to the previous position without falling.
