May 11 is a significant date in the art world; on this day in 1904, Salvador was born in Figueres. Painter, director, writer, and sculptor, a person who had every right to title his memoirs `The Diary of a Genius`. The name has become synonymous with surrealism; it is in this genre that his famous works are created.
