In March 2016 in Greenville, South Carolina, while performing his duties, police officer Allen Jacobs was killed: an attempt to detain a seventeen-year-old criminal proved fatal for him. The deceased policeman left behind a wife and ... a daughter who was soon to be born.
Lennox, as the little girl would soon be named, became the firstborn in the family. Unfortunately, she will never meet her father, but her mother Megan made every effort to ensure that the memory of Allen Jacobs lives in the child`s heart.

An old friend of the woman, photographer Jesse Alex, agreed to take touching photographs, in this photo session Megan posed while pregnant. After a moment, a group of men in blue uniforms appeared on the set...
A group of Greenville police officers decided to participate in the small family`s memorial event. Until then, Megan planned to create a collage from Allen`s old photos, but she changed her mind, deciding that now the deceased officer`s colleagues would become little Lennox`s protectors.
Together they took many photos in which Megan used her husband`s police symbols: a folded American flag and a badge, which the widow tied to her belly with a light blue ribbon.
`The world lost another policeman, but we lost a father, husband and dear friend,` says Alex. Megan constantly brought ultrasound images of her future daughter to Allen`s grave. So that he would know everything is fine with her.
Little Lennox was born in July of this year and now Megan plans another photo session with the police officers. The girl needs to know that she now has personal guardian angels, and her deceased father`s spirit hovers over her. Share this story with others!
