Homemade potato sausages are in the cuisines of many Slavic peoples – Lithuanian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Polish.


Of course, each dish has its own nuances, but the essence is the same – pig intestines are filled with potatoes or potatoes mixed with meat.

Together with potatoes and meat, onion is a must in the sausage. Firstly, to keep the potatoes from darkening. Cut or grated potatoes quickly turn dark, but onion juice prevents that.
Potato sausage

Ingredients

• 1.5 kg potatoes
• 250 g bacon
• 300 g champignons
• 2 onions
• 3 m natural sausage casing
• 3 tbsp vegetable oil
• pepper and salt to taste
Preparation

1. Thoroughly wash the sausage casing.
2. Peel the potatoes and grate them on a fine grater.
3. Fry finely chopped onions in a pan.
4. Finely chop the champignons and bacon. Add to the onions and continue frying until done.
5. Mix all the components. Fill the casing with the mixture. Tie the ends with thread. Don't forget to prick each sausage several times with a toothpick.
6. Bake the sausages in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
7. Potato sausages with mushrooms are ready. Bon appétit!
