Only the poor spend on these 5 things

Society`s financial stratification has always existed and will continue to do so. This is because many people don`t know how to handle money, thus always suffering from its shortage. The former president of Uruguay once said a phrase that should become a life rule: “When I buy something or when you buy something, we don`t pay with money. We pay with the time from our lives that we were forced to spend to earn that money.”

It`s said that money loves counting and good handling. And rich people never forget that, which can`t be said about the poor. The more money a needy person gets, the more they spend. The lack of moderation in spending is the biggest mistake. But there are also tempting purchases that the rich would never make, and we`ll tell you about them. You shouldn`t waste money on them either!
Money saving

1. Gifts for children

If you look at the world`s richest people, their children are not spoiled at all, they don`t particularly stand out in appearance among their peers. Here we don`t consider the descendants of 90s criminal groups who squander left and right. Rich people teach their children how to handle money from an early age, specifically – how to earn it.

Want a new bike or gadget – earn it. Of course, they`ll add the missing amount. But precisely thanks to the work and time spent, the child will highly value the acquisition and learn to earn in the future. Not die from depression and whine about how terrible adult life is.
2. Smart devices

For successful, practical people, quality, speed of operation, and convenience are important, not the brand. Yes, they buy expensive equipment, but they don`t chase trends. They won`t buy the latest version of a popular phone if some function doesn`t satisfy them. But the poor follow advertising, limit themselves in other needs, and take something on credit, overpaying. To be like everyone else, so to speak.
3. Expensive restaurants

Of course, they go to good restaurants. But those are business meetings or celebrating an important date. Or on their organization`s expense for future interests. They understand that it`s better to hire a home chef who will delight with tasty and healthy food than to give a large sum for a tiny portion while sitting with a girlfriend.

But among poor people or those who have just barely escaped such a state, feasting and showing off come first. If it`s a party, treat everyone; if a meeting with classmates, order something expensive and incomprehensible.
4. Clothing

Fashion is very changeable, so it`s not worth buying piles of dresses and shoes unless your job is related to high society life or show business. Look at the world`s billionaires – they wear jeans and sweaters, not famous designers` suits. You need to clearly realize what to wear and for what occasion, especially if your wallet is already thin. The same applies to jewelry.
5. Big house

Many poor people think they must start building a house so that later the children have a place to live. And lo, the big construction begins, but sometimes it doesn`t end until the children already have their own families. It`s also not a fact that in the future the child will want to live exactly there. A ton of money is spent, time and energy too. In the end, there`s still a lot to finish, but they`ve limited themselves in other goods all along.

It`s equally irrational to move into a big house with small income. Maintenance and utilities will take practically all the money. Better to live in a more modest home, but invest the money in some business and children`s education, which will give them the opportunity in the future to buy their dream house without sinking into debt.
Yes, many controversial points. Everyone has the right to choose. But remember that your choice today will determine your tomorrow. We recommend you read Robert Kiyosaki`s book Rich Dad Poor Dad on this topic to understand why some people are poor while others don`t know such a problem.
