Recently I met a good acquaintance and was shocked. What a saturated and great hair color she has! I know her well and she never dyes her hair in salons or uses stylist services.

I was interested in what caused such drastic changes and how she achieved such a hair tone that really suits her…

The decision to change your image and hair color sometimes becomes a real lottery!

It`s not entirely clear how the hair will react to this or that color, and the result can be the most unpredictable. When choosing a color, each woman is guided by her own criteria. For one, the decisive factor is a trendy brand, for another – the price, for the third – a beautiful package or the presence of a balm in the kit.
When it comes to choosing a color, we most often focus on the attractive photo on the packaging or, in extreme cases, on the name.

My acquaintance`s key to success is simple but very effective. Once again, I am convinced: `whoever owns the information owns the world`.
How to choose hair color

You need to pay attention to the small numbers next to the tone name. It is these seemingly unnoticeable signs at first glance that can tell a lot about the result we will get when using the given color.

We decided to help all fashion ladies and prepared a convenient cheat sheet for deciphering the signs on the color packaging.
How to decipher the basic color saturation level

1. 1 — corresponds to black color.
2. 2 — dark, dark chestnut.
3. 3 — dark chestnut.
4. 4 — chestnut.
5. 5 — light chestnut.
6. 6 — dark light brown.
7. 7 — light brown.
8. 8 — light light brown.
9. 9 — very light light brown.
10. 10 — light blonde.
11. 11 and 12 — these are already super bleaching hair colors.
How to decipher the basic tone number

1. Number 0 means natural tones.
2. Number 1 — blue-violet (ash color series).
3. Number 2 — violet tone.
4. Number 3 — gold.
5. Number 4 — copper.
6. Number 5 — mahogany.
7. Number 6 — red tone.
8. Number 7 — coffee.
Some manufacturers designate colors with letters instead of numbers. Here is the decoding for them.

How to decipher the basic tone letter

1. Under the letter C hides ash color.
2. Under PL — platinum.
3. Under A — super bleaching.
4. Under N — natural tone.
5. Under E — beige.
6. Under M — matte.
7. Under W — brown color.
8. Under R — red.
9. Under G — gold.
10. Under K — copper.
11. Under I — intense color.
12. But under F, V — violet.
How to determine the color durability level

1. Number 0 encodes colors with low durability and temporary effect. For example: tinting shampoos, mousses, and aerosols.

2. Number 1 indicates a tinting product without ammonia and peroxide in the composition. Such products refresh colored hair and give it shine.

3. Number 2 indicates the presence of peroxide in the composition, sometimes ammonia. Intended durability is about three months.

4. Number 3 defines the most durable colors that radically change the basic tone.
When you find a tone that you definitely want to try on your hair, you will have the opportunity to radically change your image.

To choose the right hair color, determine what result you want to achieve. Take the choice of color and tone seriously, because your appearance will ultimately depend on it.
Of course, besides the marked numbers indicated on industrial packages, you should also take into account the characteristics of your hair. Be sure to consider previous dyeing, lamination, or bleaching.

We wish you successful experiments with your look! Be charming and be sure to share this very useful information with your girlfriends!
