The sciatic nerve starts in the lumbar spine and, passing through the buttocks, extends to the feet. Therefore, pain when it is pinched is felt especially strongly.
As a rule, the term `sciatic nerve pinching` means loss of elasticity and flexibility in the muscles of the back surface of the leg. This is often associated with the age-related muscle shortening process (rigidity), which can start after 30-35 years.
Traditional treatment involves diagnosis and pres c r i p tion of appropriate medications. However, it`s better not to limit yourself to just painkillers. Believe me, if during treatment you perform simple stretching exercises, you`ll forget about the pain soon.

Exercises for sciatic nerve pinching
Stretching exercises can help a lot, as they help calm inflammation and thereby relieve pain. Of course, they may not be easy, so perform the exercises slowly, increasing the stretch on exhalation.
1. Lie down on a flat surface, bend the leg where you feel pain, and carefully stretch it towards the shoulder. When you feel the stretch, try to hold the leg in that position for 30 seconds. Straighten the leg, rest a bit, perform the exercise 2 more times.
2. In the supine position again, bend your knees and carefully stretch them towards your chest, without lifting the pelvis from the floor.
Cross your legs as shown in the picture and, grasping the healthy leg with your hands, pull. Hold the legs for 30 seconds, release and return to the starting position. Perform 2 more times.
Remember that movement is the most effective way to fight sciatica, no matter how paradoxical it may sound. This way you stimulate blood circulation, preventing stagnation in the muscles and thereby accelerating recovery.
