Late in the evening, the 33-year-old woman returned home with her boyfriend Antoine Davis. The child`s father was heavily intoxicated and behaved offensively. Unexpectedly, his behavior turned into blind rage, and he began chasing Jessica in their home in Smyrna, Georgia. The brave mother, with the child in her arms, grabbed a baseball bat for self-defense, but the man took the same and struck her several times forcefully. At that moment, the child probably also sustained a skull-brain injury, and now the little girl is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Jessica locked herself in the bathroom with the child, but Davis broke down the door and shot her in the head with a shotgun. In the moment of falling, the mom was still holding her daughter Kolby in her arms; the pre-death convulsions did not prevent her from falling in such a way that the child fell into the toilet, and she covered it with her body!

Jessica`s mother, Teresa Loniello, speaks of her daughter as a guardian angel: `Unimaginable how she managed to fall in a completely different direction, she directed her body at a certain angle to protect her daughter`s life. The poor thing wanted to save the child and at that moment didn`t think about herself at all.`

After the horrific crime, Davis left the bathroom and ended his life by suicide. The police found Kolby in the toilet 13 hours after the incident. The grandmother hopes to take the little one from the hospital soon; now she feels much better. Kolby also has a fifteen-year-old sister, who is having a very hard time coping with the tragic events.

Jessica`s family and friends created a fund that covered the brave mother`s funeral and provided for the two orphaned children. People from across the country collected more than 20,000 dollars in 6 hours.

This woman`s story is shocking; she showed the whole world how a mother fights to the last for her child`s life. Human nature is such that in an extreme situation, a real miracle happens.
