This golden rule is worth turning into a habit. In the evening, after a tiring day, lie down by the wall, lift your legs up, and spend 10-15 minutes in this position. No additional aids needed, just your legs and the wall. It`s advisable to do this every day.

I`ve been repeating this exercise for a couple of months now, I`ll tell you a bit about the results I`ve achieved with this simple technique.

I have a tendency for my legs to swell, they tire quickly. Finding comfortable shoes is quite difficult because I have enlarged bones on my feet. I spend the whole day at work at the computer, in the evening I feel completely broken: if there`s no opportunity to exercise or walk after work, the body is completely stiff from long sitting, heaviness in the head, and terrible weakness.
When I learned about this exercise, of course, it was interesting: how is it - you don`t have to do anything, just lie by the wall and enjoy this therapy procedure for the whole body? It can`t be. It turns out that this elementary yoga pose is capable of magic.
You need to spend at least 5 minutes in this position, it`s like you`re reborn. Fatigue passes, the body comes alive and fills with energy, the head becomes clear. Thanks to this exercise, you can get a lot done in the evening, the body returns to tone, you feel lightness in the legs. I`m thrilled with this exercise!
Why is it so beneficial to lift your legs against the wall upwards? During the day, our body is constantly in a vertical position, the worst is sitting. Thanks to this accessible pose, the body assumes a position opposite to the usual one.
The benefit from this simple inverted pose without effort is enormous: the body quickly recovers, rests, tension is removed from the spine, the `heaviness` leaves the legs, blood circulation improves, it`s like you`re exercising while lying down, because the heart has to work more to direct blood upwards through the legs.
HOW TO PROPERLY ASSUME THE `FOLDED CANDLE` POSE
1. In yoga, this simple asana is called `Viparita Karani`. It is believed that when a person stands on their feet, they age, but in the inverted position, the body`s processes go in the opposite direction and it becomes younger. Maximum benefit will be if you stay in this pose in silence.
2. Lie on your back, hips should be about 30 cm away from the wall. Bend your knees, place your feet on the wall. Ensure that the hips are at a right angle to the wall.
3. Straighten your legs, push against the wall with their entire surface, keep the knees straight, relax the legs. Who would think that prevention of leg varicose veins is so simple.
4. Place a pillow under your hips, it should be very comfortable. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Place one palm on your stomach, the other on your heart.
5. Feel your breath, inhale in two counts, exhale in four. Try to end the internal dialogue, calm your thoughts, listen only to your breath.
This point is especially important for those who are often in stressful situations at work, who feel anxiety, who are tormented by insomnia. Calm conscious breathing in the inverted position will heal the nervous system, give a sense of balance.

If it`s difficult to breathe calmly and you get distracted by thoughts about something, use my method. When you feel distracted, rotate your eyes, I rotate clockwise. This is easy to do with closed eyes. Such eye movement helps return concentration and directs you to a conscious state, where it`s easier to control breathing and what you`re doing.
Eye rotation also helps to pull yourself together in everyday life, deal with nervousness, anger, impatience, and stress, it works immediately and clears the mind.
6. Stay in this pose for 10-15 minutes. Carefully push off the wall with your feet, wait a bit, turn to the right side, and get up from the ground.
This pose improves memory because blood flow to the brain improves during its execution. The thyroid and other endocrine glands are also stimulated, as they receive fresh blood. As I said before, it`s the best prevention for varicose veins. Regularly performing this pose slows down aging, wrinkles become fewer, skin condition and appearance improve, and digestive processes significantly improve!
The `folded candle` pose is really very simple to perform. Even thinking about this process is pleasant, not just doing it: the body completely relaxes and rests, the sensations are truly great, complete relaxation.
