Simple cottage cheese cookies
Ingredients
• 450 g flour
• 250 g cottage cheese
• 100 g margarine
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 tsp baking soda
• 1 g vanillin
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 egg yolks
Preparation
1. In a deep bowl mix cottage cheese melted margarine sugar vanillin salt and egg yolks.
2. Gradually add sifted flour with baking soda and knead a soft dough. Be prepared that you might need a bit more flour: it all depends on the moisture of the cottage cheese.
3. Roll out the dough to 2-3 millimeters thick and cut out circles with a glass. Stack 3-4 circles alternately one on top of the other and roll into a tight roll.
4. Cut the roll in half. As a result you will get 2 roses.
5. When the dough is finished and the roses are ready place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
6. Bake the cookies at 120 degrees for 20–30 minutes.
Serve the cottage cheese cookies sprinkled with powdered sugar. Enjoy your tea time with your loved ones!
