Surely each of us has had some exciting incident while traveling by rail. However, there are almost no such stories on the internet.
The story is definitely worth reading! A friend arrived late at night from a long journey. Despite the late hour, he was not sleepy at all and said he wanted to tell what happened to him on the train. Below is his story.
Continuation of the article
Just barely making it to the train, the bags were already loaded, almost bumped my nose on the platform, but I made it.
While walking down the aisle, I prayed that someone in my compartment would take the lower bunk. I don`t like riding on the bottom and always try to get the top. My prayers were answered: a small boy, about 10 years old, round and well-cared for, settled on the lower spot.
On the lower shelf on the opposite side sat a girl, about 20 years old, in an old sweater and pants. She was reading books and paying no attention to what was happening around her.
On my shelf, right next to her, sat a mom with her child, sorting bags. I waited until she looked at me and said: `Please, I don`t mind, but out of politeness, you could ask for permission.`
In response, the woman simply snorted and turned away. Then she threw her bag next to the girl, started rummaging through it, and said in an ultimatum tone: `Girl, I`m settling here with the child, you don`t mind, do you?` It was clear her patience was wearing thin.
The lady was already ready to move to the lower bottom shelf when the girl replied in a restrained and calm voice: `Against...`
The mother was stunned for a moment, but then started arranging her things, saying: `I have to watch over Mishenka, in case something happens to him, but climbing down from above takes time. Let`s not argue and switch!`
The girl calmly but firmly replied: `We won`t switch.` I thought she would start saying that she specifically reserved this spot in advance, that it`s not her problem, and blah-blah-blah. But no. The girl simply turned around and lay down with her back to the lady, like on a pillow, without letting go of the book from her hands.
From surprise, the mom yanked the bag to free up space and Miss Zen sprawled across the entire shelf: `Ungrateful brat` - the woman muttered and, placing the bag on the table, climbed up. From there, she quickly dropped a comb right on the girl`s forehead. Without turning away from reading, Miss Zen threw the comb on the floor.
For the first two hours, the lady groaned and grumbled, demonstrating her awkwardness in getting down from the shelf to button or unbutton Mishenka`s vest. But soon Miss Zen, who wanted the girl to notice her sufferings, realized nothing would come of it, settled up top, and fell asleep.
A couple of hours later, we spent time in peace. I got to know Mishenka, persuaded him to a couple of sea battle and fool card games. He turned out to be a normal kid, just overly pampered.
Miss Zen was reading, ignoring the outside world. It got dark. The lady woke up and started complaining that her son was dying of hunger. Misha, who had recently eaten a couple of hot sandwiches with me, shrugged. If mom said so, then he really is hungry.
Just at that moment, Miss Zen had gone to the bathroom. Upon returning, she found that she was left a small corner by the window, and on the rest of the seat were placed containers and thermoses, and Misha.
The lady approached her with a completely phlegmatic look, thinking she had finally won, and triumphantly said: `The table is down, and we have every right to sit here, we`re not taking the whole shelf!` Without even flinching, Miss Zen headed to her spot, got comfortable, and fell asleep.
During dinner time, Misha was fed so much that food was coming out of his ears. He decided that others shouldn`t go hungry and shared a boiled egg with Miss Zen. Strangely enough, she took it... And then the mother decided there was no need to give away products to everyone, pushed Misha aside, and slapped Miss Zen on the hands.
Then I thought the walls would collapse, but I was wrong again. Miss Zen put the egg back on the table saying: `It`s all yours,` after which she wiped her hands on the lady`s skirt...
What happened here! The lady seemed to have been waiting for someone to burst her bubble of offense. Waving her arms, she started a solo aria: `Station non-stop, prematurely born. Because of ones like you, nothing ever goes as it should!`
Hatred ignited in the mother`s eyes. Her mind started boiling, and when she had completely lost control, the lady punched Miss Zen. So hard that she even hit her head against the wall. She pushed and fell silent, waiting for the girl`s reaction.
I thought this couldn`t be tolerated anymore. If Miss Zen started fighting back, the image of the calmest girl would disappear from my mind. But the girl didn`t disappoint. Slowly but at the same time inevitably, she leaned towards the woman, as if about to whisper something in her ear...
After that, Miss Zen licked her wetly and heartily from chin to forehead, licking off the makeup and leaving a wet, shiny trail!
The effect was immediate, like from a tranquilizer. The mom calmed down and started stroking her cheek with her fingertips. Then she took Misha, put him on her bunk, and hurried off to wash...
Miss Zen wiped her mouth with a napkin. I had already anticipated these actions and couldn`t resist applauding. For the rest of the journey, the woman didn`t say a word to the girl. Similarly silent, the lady with Misha left the carriage at their station. But Miss Zen started reading her book again. Her whole appearance indicated that she had left the real world and wouldn`t return soon. I didn`t disturb her...
