Unlike others, Yamaguchi suffered little.
He sustained minor body burns, a damaged eardrum, and temporary blindness. He spent the night in a bomb shelter.
The next day, Yamaguchi bought a ticket to his hometown Nagasaki. Needless to say, Nagasaki is 288 km from Hiroshima. At that time, both cities were considered important military and production bases.
On August 9, when he was at work, the second bomb sent by the USA was dropped on Nagasaki; thousands of people died. Yamaguchi became completely deaf in one ear and acquired additional body burns.
Over the next 12 years, he had to regularly change body bandages so that the wounds wouldn`t fester and heal. From radioactive substances, his wife and many Japanese people acquired severe oncological diseases. However, he lived a long life and died in 2008 from kidney and liver cancer. His son, who also suffered from radiation at 6 months old, died in 2005 at the age of 59.

Once, a young Minnesota resident Harry Jenkins and his two friends went fishing; the lake they wanted to fish was frozen. To speed up the process of drilling a hole in the ice, they came up with a brilliant idea - Why don`t we use dynamite?
When the dynamite was thrown in the intended direction, the young men saw with horror that their little dog ran towards the dynamite, thinking it was a play stick that definitely needed to be brought back.
The frightened people observed that the dog picked up the dynamite and, despite the men`s screams, happily wagging its tail, headed towards them.
Saving their lives, the friends ran in the opposite direction. The dog, thinking it was a fun game, chased after them. The men were a hair`s breadth from death. However, the explosion wave did not reach them.
The dog died, but due to the explosion, a crack formed where Harry`s car was located; the crack began to grow until it completely swallowed the vehicle; the car started to sink into the depths.
But the misfortunes didn`t end there. The insurance company refused to cover the losses suffered by the owner in such cases.
