Although we are used to considering plastic surgery a modern field, such operations have been performed for about 2,700 years. By the way, in the 16th–18th centuries, they were often done not by doctors, but by barbers. Nowadays, medicine and technology have advanced so far that the risk of complications is minimal, so people increasingly choose to fulfill an old dream and change not only their appearance but also make their life better.
