There are things that indicate a persons financial status. Usually, these are fur coats, large jewelry, expensive watches. Some people are willing to save for years and even take loans. However, wealthy people around the world are gradually stopping to show their social status in this way.
We are for reasonable economy, so we have found symbols of prosperity that are out of fashion. But many have not realized it yet.
Continuation of the article
1. Gold jewelry
Stylish women usually wear a minimum of gold jewelry when going out, paying attention first to their quality. Or they prefer large-sized costume jewelry.
For those whose financial situation is unstable, buying gold is still an investment. It is believed that by purchasing gold, you create a reserve for a rainy day in the form of a chain or ring. This is also reflected in how poor girls wear jewelry – many follow the principle all the best at once.
2. Expensive brand shoes and clothes
Often even very rich people are indifferent to brand clothes and walk in simple jeans and sweaters in everyday life, bought in ordinary stores, which are basics in their wardrobes. In one of the interviews, Bill Gates noted that he has a watch for $10 on his wrist, despite being able to afford millions of pairs of watches with the most famous brands. Instead of shopping, the rich seek other joys from life and do not spare money for entertainment and travel. For them, it is more valuable than a brand bag.
3. Plastic surgeries
In the past, plastic surgeries were in fashion all over the world - everyone wanted to get an ideal body and face without flaws. Rich men themselves offered to pay for transformations for their chosen ones, and they did not resist. Now more and more celebrities and wealthy people speak out against plastic and promote love for their body and wrinkles.
Meanwhile, many girls are still willing to deny themselves in many ways to save money for plastic lips, breasts, and procedures that will help them stay younger and maximally match modern ideas of beauty ideals, which are gradually receding into the past.
4. Fur coats from natural fur
Famous designers and their wealthy clients are increasingly refusing natural furs because they consider it unethical. There are known cases when animal fur wearers were doused with paint. In California, there is a law throughout the state that prohibits wearing and selling furs.
But for some girls, a fur coat is still an item of luxury and status. Although theoretically, it can be replaced with a winter coat and an insulated fur coat from artificial fur.
5. Business class flights
Rational people around the world are willing to travel modestly, even if they have the financial opportunity to pay more. For example, IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad believes that business class flights are unnecessary excesses, so all IKEA employees, regardless of their level, fly economy class and stay in cheap hotels.
But many people with average incomes are willing to overpay for a business class trip, despite the fact that flight prices increase every year and the largest increase is observed precisely in ticket prices. Essentially, thanks to their existence, airlines can maintain affordable fares for economy class. When we know this, such a flight is no longer particularly attractive.
6. Household appliances
Wealthy people do not chase new models of household appliances. If the previous version of the equipment works well, there is no need to buy a new one. This rule is violated by people with low incomes all over the world: consumer loans are taken out literally for any household appliances and gadgets.
This also applies to one-time appliances – waffle irons, pancake makers, ice cream makers, fondue sets, massagers with 15 attachments. Most often, people use such wonders 1-2 times, and then they lie on the shelf unnecessary and look at their owner with a mute reproach for the money wasted senselessly.
7. A large number of details in the interior
Successful people try to stick to minimalism in their home design. The rich are increasingly choosing simplicity in the interior so as not to be distracted by household things and not waste time on furniture selection and purchase, repairs. This frees up time for family, relationships, meetings with friends, work.
Often, middle-class representatives try to fill their home with details and the latest modern innovations. They strive to constantly improve the interior, distracting from truly important intangible things to furniture purchases and repairs.

8. A big house
Wealthy people choose to buy promising real estate for little money to make a profit when the price rises and they can earn. For example, billionaire Warren Buffett still lives in a modest house purchased back in 1958. The cozy mansion in Nebraska cost him only 30 thousand dollars, but now it is valued at $650 thousand.
The Mexican billionaire, whose wealth is estimated at 50 billion dollars, lives in a modest, long-purchased house and avoids expensive equipment. Amancio Ortega, the founder of the Zara clothing store chain, also did not let success turn his head: he and his wife live in an ordinary house in Spain. Stanford University professor David Cheriton, who owns a company Google valued at 1.3 billion dollars, said in his interview: These people who build houses with 13 bathrooms and so on, there is obviously something wrong with them.
The middle class is mostly guided by the proverb every man should plant a tree, build a house, and father a son. And in the lives of many families, the construction of some large building is started, but sometimes not completed until the children grow up. Money takes a lot of time, time, and energy, but the costs of maintaining the house and territory take most of the income.
9. Luxury class cars
Now secure people do not buy new brand cars without necessity if their own car is in good condition and fully satisfies. Even Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg drives a Volkswagen car with a manual transmission and says that he has never been particularly concerned about wealth.
But many people around the world use expensive cars for self-affirmation, and even the lack of funds for their purchase and maintenance often does not hinder - they simply take a car loan.
10. Paid education
Millionaires know that free education is very different from paid. But success in life is only discipline, purposefulness, and perseverance. Moreover, currently, the largest foreign companies are ready to hire young people if they have the appropriate knowledge. So professional experience and real skills become much more important than a higher education diploma.
But some believe that if they pay for education and receive a diploma, they will buy a ticket to a successful life. As a result, young people are determined to take a large loan to pay for education. But then they have to work more than 5-10 years to return the money to the bank, that is, spend the most valuable years of their lives.
11. A large number of toys for children
Successful people have concluded that by buying toys for children in unlimited quantities, they can harm their children. Studies confirm this: 36 toddlers were offered to play for half an hour either with 4 toys or with 16. And it was found that children from the first group, who played with 4 toys, were much more creative: they came up with more entertainments with a smaller number of items. If parents spend time with children and pay more attention to them, then they will develop faster than if they simply had a lot of toys.
Meanwhile, most parents admit that their children are literally loaded with toys: toys already need a separate apartment, dolls can form an army, constructors can build 2-story houses. There is no time for childrens dreams: everything is there, but all desires are fulfilled too quickly. This is how parents want to demonstrate their love and give their children what they did not have in their childhood.
12. Trainings and courses
Personal growth courses are a business, and trainers there are not interested in the clients effective development, so it is impossible to radically renew your life with trainings. Successful people know that you can change your life only with continuous work on yourself and your goals.
Among people who are only planning to become successful, such courses have become extremely popular. By the way, the participation fee in them is quite high, but tickets are still snapped up. Poor people are looking for a magic pill that will change their life, but when it doesnt work, they often go to a new trainer.
13. Beauty sphere
Nowadays, natural nail color indicates privilege and wealth. Successful women prefer a neat, natural nail shape, restrained pastel tones and their shades that look elite.
Many girls want to know that their manicure has been noticed by others, so they often choose bright nail polish colors, original designs with crystals, and extreme length. If not long, the issue is solved by extensions. Such an image is often chosen by middle-class representatives who want to show that they spend their time idly.
