You can`t disagree with the statement that a woman is young at any age. A woman doesn`t age, and that`s a fact - there are many songs and various movies, poems, sayings about the eternal and unfading youth of a woman. But in this regard, you need to make a little effort! First, read this article and find out what you absolutely shouldn`t do. What shouldn`t a mature, self-sufficient, and confident woman over 45 do?

1. Skimp on yourself
We understand that you have a husband, children, a dog, and a house, most of your salary goes to the family. You have to save, and first of all, on yourself. Of course, relatives and loved ones are everything to you, and you don`t begrudge anything for them. But! Dear ladies, you can`t live only for others, sometimes you need to please yourself too. Every month, give yourself a small gift: fabulous shoes, a blouse, a skirt, or a trip to the beauty salon. We are sure that your loved ones also want to see their mom, wife, sister beautiful, stylish, and happy.
2. Cut hair short
The main women`s misfortune! Who said that a short haircut makes you look younger? Well, maybe some do look younger, but for others, such a hairstyle is harmful. Now is the right time for experiments with hairstyles: try a bob, then grow your hair longer, dye it red... Hair is a woman`s main adornment at any age, why cut it?
Moreover, don`t forget about therapeutic procedures for hair: use heat protection, nourishing masks, and regularly visit the hairdresser. Properly cared-for hair will be your calling card for at least another 20 years.
3. Choose ”granny” things
Some women suddenly decide: ”That`s it, youth is over, enough wearing tight jeans and beautiful tops, it`s time to buy a shapeless gray coat, dark skirts to the floor, and a synthetic blouse with some unreal flower image. Now fashion is not for us, it`s only for young girls”.
We hope you don`t have such thoughts, but in case you decide to buy something completely senseless and obviously ”pensioner” style, immediately tell yourself ”Stop!”. Remember what they say about a woman who is 45 years old? 
4. Choose things that young people wear
There can also be another situation: start dressing as if you just turned 20. T-shirts with silly inscriptions, mini skirts, short sundresses, crop tops, leggings - these things will never make ladies look younger. On the contrary, they will emphasize the mismatch between your age and style.
Teenage clothes remain in the past: you need to realize and accept that. Believe me, you will look a hundred times better if you choose elegant clothes in restrained tones (that doesn`t mean boring). You can follow all (or almost all) fashion trends and remain a gorgeous mature woman.
5. Not follow fashion
By the way, about fashion. After 45, it`s common for women to not follow fashion at all. Of course, there`s no time to read fashion portals, but despite that, try to occasionally look at fashion magazines or visit sites that publish news about fashion novelties.
By the way, many fashion trends have no age restrictions. For example, this season`s trendy denim skirts will suit women of any age. In your case, it would be appropriate to choose a length to the knee or a bit longer. And what about a long vest? Of course, it can be worn at 15 or 80 years old.
6. Hide flaws without highlighting your beauty
Forget about baggy and shapeless clothing. If you think: ”I`ll put on a muumuu - and no one will notice my belly or round hips”, then you are greatly mistaken. Shapeless clothing turns you into a big rectangle or a ball. You need to know how to not only hide figure flaws but also highlight your beauty.
Hide hips under full midi skirts, emphasize the waist with the help of wide or narrow belts, wear slim jackets and blouses with V-necklines. Create beautiful silhouettes and show off alluring shapes. When you stop wearing ”bags”, those around you will definitely notice how attractive and charming you are. 
7. Not wear high-heeled shoes
Just 5 years ago, you ran to work, from work to kindergarten, from kindergarten to the store in 10-centimeter heels, but now you`ve decided that high heels are not comfortable, not practical, and in general, sneakers are a hundred times better, and that`s bad.
We agree that walking in high heels every day is not necessary, but your wardrobe should have a few pairs of high-heeled shoes. And you need to wear them not only on major holidays. Choose shoes with a stable heel and made of natural leather, wear them at least once a week (better - more often).
8. Buy cheap underwear
We think that any mature woman can afford 3-5 good underwear sets. Even if not 10 or 20, but much fewer, but ideal. Proper underwear models the figure. And if you don`t have extra funds to buy a Victoria`s Secret bra, look at stores with more democratic brands that are no less quality.
9. Not study makeup techniques for your age
Unfortunately, after 40, our skin changes: wrinkles appear, pigmentation, it becomes too dry or too oily. Great if you regularly visit a cosmetologist and fight skin aging with modern methods, for example, go for mesotherapy or other courses. But procedures can`t instantly turn you into a twenty-year-old beauty, which means age changes need to be masked with the help of decorative cosmetics.
Consult a professional makeup artist: they will tell you in advance what cosmetics to use at your age, how to apply them, which cosmetic products to start using, and which to give up. Learn to use cosmetics correctly - you will look 10 years younger. 
10. Neglect your body
Let`s imagine a typical case: a woman gave birth to 3 children, stopped paying attention to her body, and only a ”shell” remains of her slim figure. Now sports for her are only on TV. If you recognize yourself in this description - it`s time to think.
We are not agitating to go on a strict diet, drink only water. But to let your body go, completely forget about sports - that`s a crime against yourself. Exercise is movement, health, good mood. Find what you like: swimming pool, water aerobics, yoga, zumba. Just two workouts a week - and your athletic figure will be envied by lazy friends, and such energy will appear in your body that you can move mountains.
11. Forget about health
To be beautiful and healthy, a woman needs to not only exercise but also visit the doctor in time. Work, children - you postpone going to the doctor until the last moment, but hidden diseases that you don`t treat will affect your age faster than improper eating or lack of physical activity.
Get tests, visit the family doctor, dentist, gynecologist at least once a year and remember: a beautiful woman is a healthy woman. Be charming!
